Visit to the Alcazaba and Roman theater

In this activity you will visit the Alcazaba of Malaga, walled and fortified palace built by the Muslims between the 11th and 15th centuries. With palaces similar to the Alhambra, its strategic location at the foot of Mount Gibralfaro surprises visitors.

The tour will be among walls, towers and palaces, revealing the history after the Nasrid conquest. In the Roman Theater, its history will be explained in the Interpretation Center and archaeological finds can be seen.

Visit to the Gibralfaro Castle

A visit to the Gibralfaro Castle reveals an ancient Phoenician enclosure that houses a lighthouse, standing out for its strategic position 132 meters above sea level, dominating the city of Malaga. The connection with the Alcazaba through the Coracha underlines its vital importance for defense. Located on the crest of a hill, the fortress has historically played the role of watchtower of the city and its land accesses and maritime, being a crucial observation tower since ancient times.

Malagueta beach activities

We will visit the Malagueta beach, an urban beach of dark sand located on the eastern coast of the city, between the port of Malaga and the beach of La Caleta. It is about 1200 meters long and about 45 meters wide on average.

It is the beach par excellence of Malaga. It gets its name from the neighborhood in which it is located, just a few meters from the historic center. The space it occupies was the scene of industrial work in the 19th century (shipyards, a sugar factory, wineries …) until later the Noble Hospital and the Plaza de Toros were built, which prompted the change of the neighborhood.
